I think I have to come down on the side of her being a racist. I'm not sure she's even aware of it. Maybe just the way she was raised. "The princess, whose father was an SS officer,..." leads me to wonder about the lessons she learned at daddy's knee high jackboots. Although her parents did divorce, but I'm not sure when. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Princess_Michael_of_Kent
Besides which, Harry has had some interesting incidents of his own, http://www.newsweek.com/prince-harrys-worst-moments-meghan-markle-rogue-723177
I didn't get my invitation in the mail yet.
In his youth Harry was a bit undereducated, albeit at Eton. He should
have known that German WWII servicemen, including Waffen SS, did not
wear swastika armbands. Note that the General SS paraded unarmed. Over
time he has got up to speed in many ways. He is a good public speaker,
without the hyperdiphthongal accent of the other royals, and stands a
chance of injecting a touch of modernity into the institution, how good
a chance remains to be seen.
Myth, after all, is what we believe naturally. History is what we must
painfully learn and struggle to remember. -Albert Goldman
